No on 8 Takes Their Message To The Temple

On Thursday November 6, 2008 — NO on 8 supporters protested alongside the LAPD at the Church of Latter Day Saints in West Los Angeles. Thousands of anti-hate supporters marched and stopped rush hour traffic in Westwood, West Hollywood, West Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. The event was historic. Many supporters showed love by getting out of their cars to applaud and honk.
For those who supported Prop 8, also supported taking away fundamental and Civil Rights already granted by The California Constitution. Many of the religious groups funded Yes on 8 which is unconstitutional taking in consideration the so-called “Separation of Church & State”. Although I do not personally agree with the anti-Mormon message brought out in the protest — I do NOT agree with voting FOR Prop 8 as it was a sign of HATE and strips a group of people from their fundamental Civil Rights.
Church groups proclaim they “Love Thy Neighbor” however by voting FOR Prop 8, their actions represented the opposite message. Also, Church groups should have no right influencing the general public to amend any part of The Constitution and take away fundamental Civil Rights from anyone.
Don’t Hate… Vote NO on Prop 8.

Taken at the Rally in Pershing Square…. Support Equal Rights for ALL. Many religious folks out there support INEQUALITY.. Don’t let them tamper with the constitution… they have no right to take your rights away.
Religions are suppose to be a “good thing” however many religious efforts are taking advantage of children by busing them to their rallies — our very own children are being fed the haterade at such an early age… instead they should be learning to “LOVE THY NEIGHBOR” .. actually be “GOOD PEOPLE”… and not create inequality for others…. especially when they don’t understand the issues and facts.
This isn’t about Gay Marriage — this is about NOT allowing RELIGIOUS GROUPS to tamper with the CONSTITUTION.
Where is the separation of Church & State?
Driving for Change - Let’s Turn This Country Around.

I’ve realized recently that this election is up to US. We need to make it happen and we need to stop talking about doing something and actually do it.
This past week I have volunteered with my local congressional district for the campaign and I am definitely “Fired Up”, but this time it’s more than just a Funky Green Dogs anthem.
Join me and a bunch of other people to make a difference in this election… Be a weekend warrior in Nevada, go to your local phone bank to make calls to Nevada…. do sumthang’
It’s time for us to all make a difference and express what we believe in… because we MUST win this.
We need to fight the EVIL that exists in our world, like my Republican sister who told me I should “Drive Off A Cliff And Kill Myself”.
Just lovin’ this view
another day at the studio… I really enjoy what I can see outside all day long… Can see Century City all the way in the back and Westwood…maybe the Ocean one day.

My New Studio!!!

So, I’ve been looking for a space where I can do my thang’, rehearse, make music and I wanted to stay in Hollyhood because the area is just WHERE ITS AT right now.
The journey to getting here was crazy. I’ve been looking for a space for about 3 months and almost gave up till I saw a little posting on ‘that site’ with hardly any information, photos, a phone number, email, whatsoever… So i thought, this one had to be gold… it just sounded like it was something I had to look at and not give up.
So after going through the “rocker dudes rehearsal space” (where also G-Unit has his spot), seeing spaces in Downtown area that would’ve made a great space for a seamstress [definitely, not a songstress], and those many spaces that “might work” (but had meditators on the other side of the walls)… I finally got a response from the post I knew was gold… and it was…. it was a really cool guy with a really cools space and we just magically clicked.
So here I am “collaborating” with him, although he’s only here in spirit, in this really fierce space. I’m loving it and am so happy that patience paid-off, because this is exactly what I needed & what I was searching for.
I can’t wait to unleash some beats, rhythms, and melodies stuck within…… many special thanks to “Jaxxon” for making this happen!!! Bon Voyage!
